Things have not turned out as planned. The decision may have been your choice or you may have been coerced. Regardless of the reasons for the decision, some women experience unexpected, negative or unwelcome reactions after an abortion.

What you experience after a pregnancy termination may differ from other women. For some there may be an immediate sense of relief. Others may have regret. Some reactions may not be immediate but begin to show up days, months, or even years later. Men can also experience unexpected reactions after an abortion. It may have affected your relationship in ways that you had not planned.

You have permission to talk about this. You do not need to keep silent about the conflict or distress you are experiencing.

There is help.
