Individual and group counselling for Urban Indigenous youth is available. A creative therapy approach is used that does not rely on words to explore concerns, process trauma, and develop skills for self-regulation. A variety of materials including paint, collage, beads, wood, and more are available for young people to express themselves and gain insights about emotions, experiences, and perceptions.
Youth, parents/guardians, or community agencies are invited to contact the Youth Clinician by emailing youthclinician@kfs.bc.ca or calling (250) 763-4905 extension 222 for more information; to request a group that addresses a specific issue, or to make an individual referral.
