About this service
The student support worker works closely with the school counsellor and other members of the school-based team to provide services that support children to learn new skills and coping strategies to manage their behaviour and achieve social, emotional and academic success in school.
The focus is to help the child/youth increase their:
- Sense of connection and belonging at school
- Emotion regulation/coping skills
- Social and communication skills
- Ability to manage their behvaiour
- Problem solving capacity
Services are currently provided at George Pringle, Hudson, Chief Tomat, Casorso, and North Glenmore Elementary Schools.
