About this service
The Personalized Supports Initiative and Developmental Disability program assist the individuals to build skills and increase independence.
CLBC determines eligibility based on assessment documentation by approved professionals. CLBC will begin this process no earlier than 16 years old, and it is recommended to start by 17 years old. Services can begin at the age of majority, which is 19 years old.
The assessment outcome must indicate the adult requesting service has a diagnosis of FASD or ASD and specific limitations in adaptive functioning, or has an intellectual disability diagnosis.
CLBC will contract directly with ARC Programs to provide these services.
ARC Programs provides this service in the North, Central, and South Okanagan, as well as the West Kootenay region.
