About this organization

The Association's forerunners began in the Okanagan Mission in December 1907. The first meeting was held in the home of W.D. Walker. W.D. Hobson was elected as the first president. The name chosen was the Okanagan Sports Club and committees struck to look after cricket, football and tennis. An acre of land was obtained where the hall now stands. We want to maintain a community facility for the social, cultural, recreational and educational needs of its members and others within the area. To operate a Tennis Club.
