About this organization
The Forensic Outreach worker supports individuals (18 years or older) who have come into contact with the law and suffer from serious and persistent mental illness and deemed not criminally responsible due to their mental disorder.
The Forensic Outreach worker supports the specific needs of each person served to optimize their quality of life and support successful reintegration into society.
- Assisting individuals seeking employment;
- Assisting individuals with finding affordable housing;
- Assisting individuals with nutrition;
- Assisting individuals with budgeting and financial goals;
- Transporting individuals to meet important appointments, including but not limited to their psychiatrist, a family doctor or legal appointments;
- Assist individuals with activities of daily living
All referrals are made through the Forensic Psychiatric Services Commission.
