About this service
The Family Preservation Program is an outreach service that provides intensive support to families experiencing challenges in Merritt. The Family Preservation is an outreach service that provides short-term intervention, and intensive support to to families experiencing significant challenges, and who are at risk of family or placement breakdown.
The Family Preservation program provides:
- Family assessment, goal setting, intervention, and transition planning
- Short-term (6-8 weeks); intensive (6-10 hours/week); outcome-focused service
- Support to families to discover ways of finding their own solutions, make positive choices and decisions about their situations, and to utilize community resources
