About this service
Overdose Prevention serves as a first point of contact for those facing homelessness, or anybody who is affected by substance use and does not know where to turn. We connect community members in need with health and housing resources.
HARM REDUCTION: Staff are available 8:30-4:30, seven days a week, at the back of the 433 Tranquille location to provide harm reduction and education. 24/7 vending machine designed by Smart Solutions that delivers harm reduction supplies, as well as digitally provides information about referrals and emergency services.
OVERDOSE PREVENTION SITE: An observation room where people can use (injection only) under the supervision of a trained worker. Staff can monitor and intervene, should an overdose occur.
NEEDLE PICK-UP: This program contributes by sweeping the North Shore corridor and safely disposing of harm reduction materials. ODP runs the Needle Pick-Up Hotline where community members can contact ASK to arrange for safe disposal of harm reduction materials.
