About this service
The Golden Youth Centre exists to create and enhance opportunities for youth lead by youth in the community. Youth are empowered by engaging in the planning of programs, maintaining and supporting their centre. Youth will have the opportunity to participate in safe, cultural, educational and fun activities that do not already exist in the community.
Drop-in - Meet old friends, make new ones, play pool, play games, sing karaoke, listen to music, try an art project, have good conversations, help shape your youth centre, help shape your community.
Jam Night- Local musicians will host and guide aspiring talent during jam night. Instruments and sound equipment is provided or personal gear can be hooked up to our existing sound system. All levels and genres are welcome with an emphasis on a safe and supportive audience.
Movie Night- A large screen, comfortable seating and popcorn are provided. Special thanks to Kicking Horse Video for the continued donation of movies.
