About this service
Located near the Town boundary on Marine Drive, Armours Beach is one of Gibsons most popular beaches. In 2018, Armours Beach underwent a significant facelift, which included terracing at the site to increase accessibility, construction of a new washroom facility, landscaping and the installation of new park furnishings. In 2019, the work continued, with the six vertical pilings and logs booms to delineate the swimming area replaced in late summer. In October, the foreshore area was fortified and the stone staircase down to the beach completely rebuilt. In 2021, with the help of the Rotary Club of Gibsons, an automated external defibrillator (AED) was installed in the washroom facility at Armours Beach.
