Gibsons Family Network (GFN) is a non-profit group of family members with a vision of helping people with disabilities to find meaningful, integrated employment within our community...... Our mandate is to enable people with developmental disabilities full citizenship in our community

Gibson's Family Network allows those with disabilities a chance to experience jobs, money, responsibilities, living skills, social skills, and more. At GFN we want everyone to get the chance to live their life more independently. We want those with disabilities to know that they do have abilities they just have to find them. At our Sunshine Shack, located in the Gibson's Community Center, we teach our employees how to be food safe, how to handle money (cashier, bank deposits), how to socialize with the public, how to cook and bake and we also teach them how to safely exercise with some basic knowledge about health and nutrition. Being involved with the community is important for learning, meeting new people, and all of the experiences that come with being out and about in the town, and our goal is for everyone to have that chance.
