About this service
The Womens Outreach program provides emotional support and practical assistance to women in the Fort St John area who have experienced violence, abuse, or threats within the previous 6 months.
The worker will provide local transportation to assist women in attending appointments for medical, legal, or social services and to secure housing and employment.
This program also provides public education to raise awareness of:
- effects of violence against women
- violence prevention
- services available to women who have experienced violence, abuse, or threats.
