About this service
Physiotherapy is contracted to School District 60. A referral is made by a School Based Team, in which a therapist comes into the school and assesses a student to make recommendations to the school team such as specific, individualized gross motor and/or sensory motor programs, as well as fine motor programs, where appropriate.
A physiotherapist can provide ongoing re-assessment, consultation, and training to required staff based on a students individual needs. The focus of physiotherapy is in classroom settings during the school day; and the ongoing evaluation of student need and recommendations in school settings.
A therapist can also support sensory-motor equipment & positioning & mobility clinics.
