About this service
The PEACE Program for Children and Youth Experiencing Violence program provides individual and group counselling for children 3 18 years of age who have experienced or witnessed violence, threats, or abuse in the home.
PROGRAM FOCUS
- Children are assisted in understanding their feelings, developing personal self-esteem, and learning to manage their anger.
- Children learn about violence and abuse issues through education, art, and play activities suitable to their age.
- Parents who are survivors of abuse are provided with information about the services and referred to support groups and individual counselling sessions.
- We also provide referrals to other agencies and services.
