About this service

The Family Advancement program is a free counselling service for children/adolescents age 4-19 and their families for anxiety, behaviour problems, grief and loss issues, anger management and relationship and communication problems. You may wish to access the program's services for any of the following:

  • Behaviour problems
  • Parent/Teen conflict
  • Grief and loss issues
  • Relationship problems with friends and/or family
  • Communication skills
  • Anger management.
  • Parental support
  • Referrals to other agencies & services

PROGRAM FOCUS

Provides individual/ group counselling to families depending on need with children 4-19 in need of support through weekly or bi-weekly sessions. Families are provided with parenting supports to understand the social, behavioural, and developmental needs of their children so they can maintain a healthy and supportive family environment. Referrals to other agencies and services are also provided when needed.
