When an emergency happens, it can be incredibly stressful if you are unsure of what to do. Many eye injuries are considered eye emergencies and need prompt treatment to minimize your chance of experiencing permanent damage and vision loss.
If you or a loved one has sustained an injury to the eyes, head, neck, or face, the first thing you should do is call your optometrist. If the injury is serious, go straight to your nearest emergency room.
At Northern Vision Care, we have the knowledge and resources needed to handle most eye emergencies. However, if you have found yourself in an emergency outside our office hours, please call 911 or visit your nearest emergency room.
