About this organization
Freemasonry is the worlds most ancient and honourable fraternity. Its origins are lost, unrecorded through medieval times. It was officially organized in 1717 (United Grand Lodge of England). Since time immemorial, men of good character have joined our fraternity to become the best versions of themselves. Through a beautiful system of morality that is veiled in allegory, illustrated by symbols, and shrouded in mysteries, men from all walks of life have come together to support one another, and enjoy camaraderie, fun, history, and tradition.
What attracts a man to Freemasonry? Every man comes of his own free will and accord, with his own individual needs and interests. One man may join so that he can associate with other men who believe that only by improving themselves can they hope to improve the world. Another man may join because he is looking for a focus for his charitable inclinations. And yet another may be attracted by a strong sense of history and tradition.
