FWRC - Strong Start

The Strong Start program is a free drop-in program designed to help pre-school aged children prepare for success in kindergarten. Children and parents participate together in fun learning = based activities including stories, music and art.

Parents will also learn skills as they interact with their children at Strong Start including:

• Activities to do at home to help your child learn
• Ways to support your childs physical, social and emotional learning
• Ways to support your childs language and communication skills
• Tips for healthy snacks
• Information about other services and resources in the community

The Fernie Early Childhood Development Team is a group of committed individuals that work together to address the importance of the first six years of a childs life. Our Teams mission is to support young families and children in Fernie. We assist them in accessing information, services, and programs that support healthy child development.
