About this service
If you are dealing with or have dealt with any sort of abuse at any point in your life, then you may be familiar with the stress and trauma that can occur as a result. The Stopping the Violence Program exists so that you dont have to go through it alone.
- The Stopping the Violence program is free of charge and consists of two services: Counselling and Outreach.
- Counselling
- Counsellors provide a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental environment for women to explore the effects of violence in their lives. Counselling is tailored to meet the individual needs and goals of each woman.
- Outreach
- Women can access individual support, including crisis intervention, safety planning, life management skills, advocacy and accompaniment through legal and government systems, and referrals to appropriate services.
