About this service
Strengthening Families is an 8-10 week group for children (ages 4-16) and their parents who have witnessed or experienced violence. The adult and child groups run at the same time and work together to explore and examine the same topics. Topics include:
Healthy Communication and Feelings
Conflict Resolution
Parenting through Crisis
Effects of violence on children
Safety planning
Self-Esteem
Groups run three times a year.
