About this service
The Garden Education Centre is a three-acre organic community farm located beside Somenos Creek on the ancestral territory of the Quwutsun Nation. The Garden Ed Centre is home to a plant nursery, specializing in native and medicinal plants and vegetable seedlings. It is a place to purchase plants that bring restoration to the region as well as the body. We focus on education through welcoming volunteers, hosting workshops and gardening alongside the community.
The Garden Ed Centre is also the site of the CGCs Seed Farm. We grow certified organic crops specifically for seed production, and strive to educate farmers and community members on the importance of locally adapted, open-sourced seed. We have a beautiful variety of vegetable, grain, pulse and flower seeds available for sale. We have seed packets for home gardeners, as well as bulk quantities for farm scale.
