CVTS - Stopping the Violence

Stopping The Violence (STV) Womens Counselling is a free counselling service for women 19 years of age or older, who live in the Comox Valley or surrounding area, and who have previously experienced or are currently experiencing:

violence of any kind (physical, emotional or psychological);

sexual assault; or

childhood abuse or violence.

The service is available to all women including trans women and gender non-binary persons, regardless of age, ethnicity, abilities, or sexual orientation.

Young women under 19 years of age and leading an adult lifestyle are also eligible for this program.

Counselling is short-term, typically between 8-10 sessions, which may be extended in some circumstances. The sessions are one hour long with the exception of the intake session, which takes approximately 30 minutes.
