CVSSS - Seniors Information and access Support Program

Our Senior Information and Access Support program (SIAS) helps seniors navigate systems of varying kinds. This can include dealing with the frustration of automated telephone answering systems, completing a web-based application, assisting with a paper-based application, and generally helping seniors access information as well as resources they may be eligible for.

We can help with the completion of forms that are needed in order to access services and program. Some examples are Income Tax completion, Federal Government Guaranteed Income Supplement (GIS), BC Housing forms such as SAFER or the Home Adaptations for Independence and Fair Pharmacare. We have helped with quite a range of applications - many of them online.

Access to affordable, safe housing is a difficult and frustrating issue for many seniors. Although we are not a housing society, we will assist as much as we can by outlining options, making connections, referring to other agencies, and even assisting with a housing search.
