About this organization
Our program takes students requiring extra support due to physical and/or cognitive differences and gives them the opportunity to try skiing, snowboarding or Nordic skiing. Some also take part in a Snowsport Development program and have an opportunity to advance their skills and compete at the Provincial level. We have almost 100 instructors who volunteer their time to this purpose. We offer this program 7 days a week throughout the Mt. Washington snow season. We also have a program called "Have-a-go" whereby new students can try one or more snow sports with the equipment and instruction free and we pay for the Mt. Washington lift pass so there is no cost to the student. If they wish to continue, they can become part of the regular program after becoming a member of BCAS.
