About this service
A Resource and Toy Lending Library is available to members and is housed in our office building at Victoria Hall.
The library has a wide variety of toys and books for all ages of children. A few toys and books are available for children who are over five years old. Adult books and videos are available on a variety of parenting topics from prenatal to the teenage years. There are also self-help books, a variety of pamphlets from other agencies, a Red Book of services and a map of the surrounding area for parks, schools and community centres.
Families are encouraged to borrow books and toys for one week. Adult books are loaned for two to three weeks because we understand how difficult it can be for parents to find time to read for themselves.
The Family Place Toy Lending Library is open when Family Place is open.
