RainCity Housing - 3030 Gordon Shelter & Transitional Housing

3030 Gordon is two programs in one. Both the first purpose built shelter in Coquitlam, and our first project in the Tri-Cities (Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam and Port Moody), located one block from the Coquitlam/Port Coquitlam border, we work closely with both municipalities.

People who access the shelter might have been homeless for decades, or just days, and have a history in the Tri-Cities. The folks living in transitional housing units have been homeless in the past and have roots in the Tri-Cities.

The emergency shelter has 30 private rooms, 20 for men and 10 for women, and have access to 3 meals a day. The transitional housing side has 30 units of housing, each with its own kitchen and bathroom. Through thousands of hours from hundreds of volunteers, the citizens of the Tri-Cities were able to help many people stay warm and dry every winter for seven years. Because of this history and our partnerships in the Tri- Cities, 3030 Gordon includes RainCity's first formal volunteer program.
