About this service
"Doing the Crunch" is a popular fitness challenge for many local residents. Hikers and fitness walkers enjoy the natural setting and spectacular views of the City on this uphill 2.2 kilometre climb which follows the British Columbia Hydro right-of-way and extends to the top of Westwood Plateau - a 242 metre elevation gain.
Now featuring two sets of stairs - and over 890 steps - the Coquitlam Crunch provides a recreational fitness circuit for those who like to challenge themselves with stair repeats. Both sets of stairs offer a total of 894 steps of cardio workout.
Access Points: The Crunch can be accessed from Eagle Ridge Park, Guildford Way, Lansdowne Drive (two access points), David Avenue and Bramble Park at Panorama Drive; caution should be used when crossing these busy roadways.
Washrooms and parking available at Eagle Ridge Park and Bramble Park.
