About this service
Inter-Gen Connects Mentors is a six-week program pairing seniors 55+ with youth 15-30 for technology mentoring, socialization, improving inter-generational literacy and meaningful relationship building.
Senior Program Benefits:
- Hands-on experience and support using smart devices and computers
- Knowledge about securing devices and online safety
- Increased social connection and support network
- Seniors will be able to use a tablet or laptop during the program. Support to become familiar with these devices will take place during the program.
Youth Mentor Program Benefits:
- Learn valuable life experience from seniors
- Build meaningful connections
- Gain volunteer experience in the community
- Mentors will receive a letter of reference at the programs end
