About this service
Our pantry food recovery program makes fresh produce and other food available on a daily process. We collect food donated by local grocery stores and re-distribute it to where it can be used. Some ends up in our soup kitchen while the majority ends up in our pantry program. People can come down once a day and pick out fresh produce and other food to supplement their food hampers. Any food that cannot be used is given out to local farmers as food for their animals. Through this program not only are people given nutritional food but hundreds of thousands of pounds of food are diverted from our landfills every year.
