About this service
The Village, located in Chilliwack, BC opened in September 2011 and is a partnership between BC Housing, Creative Centre Society and Chilliwack Community Services. Of the 33 units, Creative Centre Society provides permanent and affordable housing in 22 units. The eligibility and selection criteria of the tenants for these apartments has a focus on housing mental health clients who are Absolute Homeless or At Risk of Homelessness. The Village via Chilliwack Community Services also provides two-year transitional housing for 11 youth who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. There is 24-hour on-site support to all residents. All youth residing in the Village are connected to the Youth Support Program to assist them in preparing for adulthood.
