About this organization

The Burns Lake Rotary Club has been active for almost 60 years in Burns Lake. We sponsor the world famous "Tweedsmuir Trek" each August with exchange students from all over the world, as well as local teens participating. We've assisted and built numerous community parks and recreation facilities (tennis courts, skateboard park, bike park, ski club). We provide scholarships to local highschool students, run a Youth Citizen of the Year program, help the local food bank and sponsor students to attend arts council performances. Recently we assisted Partnerships for Opportunity with a school project in Uganda. We support Shelterbox annually. These are just a few of the ways the money we raise each year is put to use both in our community and internationally.
