About this service
Once a client demonstrates that they can live safely and complete most activities of daily living with minimal support, they progress to the Shared Support Programs and live in their own apartment. Clients are responsible for living expenses, such as hydro, cable, groceries and a subsidized monthly rent. One-on-one support continues to be provided through scheduled sessions in the clients suite and in the community.
The support services offered in the Tenant Support Program are identical to the Shared Support Program with diminished support hours provided. Approximately nine hours of dedicated one-to-one support per week is offered in Step 4, Shared Support, and three hours per week in Step 5, Tenant Support. These programs provide a declining scale of service suited to the need of the client and support hours diminish as the client gains independence.
