About this service
Burnaby Neighbourhood House (BNH) has a long history of building and strengthening community with various programs and activities; inclusion of Seniors Together Program provided an important foundation to complete the circle of community involvement for all ages at BNH. It is the first program specifically designed for diverse seniors to engage, deepen the opportunities to work together to increase health, well-being, and creativity while building a collective vision for the neighbourhood. For instance, through a partnership with the Burnaby Seniors Outreach Society, the committee members are building skills to provide leadership to work together to decrease isolation and loneliness among older adults.
Seniors Together Program consist of physical, social, educational, and nutritional activities to support well-being of participants, prevent illnesses and diseases, and promote health.
