About this service
The PASS (Parent Adoption Support Services) program is an early intervention service designed to ensure the best start for adoptive families. Children joining adoptive families from foster care typically have experienced neglect, abuse, disruptions in their environment and relationship. Their experiences can often affect their behaviour and impact their relationships with caregivers. PASS follows a parent-coaching model that identifies the parent-child relationships as the central dimension in the family's life and the parent as the therapeutic agent for change in their child's life. PASS may also be a great fit for families formed through international adoption.
