About this organization
Located on the ancestral lands of the Coast Salish peoples, Big Bend was originally called ""Fraser Arm"" by its European settlers; its historical Riverside district, along Meadow and Willard Avenues, dates back to 1861. Orignally an agricultural community, farmland is still protected under the Agricultural Land Reserve but the area is increasingly industrial, with movie studios, business parks and commercial zones such as Big Bend Crossing and Market Crossing.
The London Drugs in Market Crossing at Marine Way and Byrne Road, has been part of the Big Bend neighbourhood and Burnaby community since 2006.
