About this service
Ready for School /Prekindergarten is part of our curriculum designed specifically for children attending New Leaf Learning and Childcare centre in the year before school. It supports your child in being confident with a positive self esteem and attitude towards starting school and combines education, health and wellbeing skills necessary for the next big step to school! As a part of this program our Educators team will complete a ready for school screening on each child to evaluate their motor, language, emergent literacy and self-care skills. Features of this program include: Literacy & Numeracy that includes the Phonics Program and Book of the Month Program Dramatic play, our term based weekly drama program supporting self confidence and creativity Creative art Program, our visual art program supporting confidence in art making, drama and music. Social Development Program, an emphasis on social skills, independent decision making and self regulation of behaviour. Fitness program, with a focus on well being and physical health and fitness.
