About this service
Abbotsford School Districts Aboriginal Enhancement Agreement is committed to the improvement of Aboriginal/Indigenous student achievement through a holistic and culturally relevant public education.
Indigenous (First Nations, Inuit and/or Metis) students attending Ecole Margaret Stenersen Elementary experience high levels of success. Our students success can be attributed to a close home/school relationship, inclusive regular cultural class activities (storytelling, hand drumming and singing), academic support, school wide commitment to learning Sto:los traditional language Halqemylem, and an optional intermediate cultural enrichment lunch program.
Our two Cultural Support Workers consult with the parents annually and work closely with the teachers to ensure a high quality program is offered at Margaret Stenersen with our students success being priority.
