About this service
The second stage home is one of two longer-term options for women after completing the 12-step program, ideally from our first stage home. However, graduates from other homes will be considered. The second stage is designed to provide low-income, affordable living in a safe, sober environment. Clients are expected to follow a long-term recovery plan, meeting regularly with addiction-specialist counsellor while they work on rebuilding their lives. A live-in house mom serves the role of a watchful eye, to help clients stay accountable & sober. It is community living, as some meals & household/property chores are shared. The home's capacity is 5 clients plus the house-mom; each client has their own room. Healing Highlights Affordable, safe, sober housing. Approximate length of stay: 1-2 years Continuous, 24/7 accountability in a loving community Part-time counsellor on-site Shared responsibilities (home-up keep) Weekly 1:1 counselling with an addiction-specialized counsellor
