We are a provincially registered methadone and suboxone clinic, and we take proactive steps towards preventing drug poisoning, and encouraging our patients along a safe path to recovery. What is OAT? OAT Opioid Agonist Therapy is treatment to replace self-medicated street drugs with prescribed medication, to aid in managing cravings and withdrawal that is extremely painful. What is the goal of OAT? Outpatient OAT at Food For The Soul is geared towards uplifting, empowering, and inspiring our patients to stabilize their OAT dose (when cravings are no longer an issue) and build on life skills with our team. Life skills building is different for each patient. Some will need more support than others. We include: Counseling Resource referrals Support with housing searches Work searches Clothing Food Most importantly, we help our patients rebuild relationships within their community. Recovery Recovery takes time, and our team is patient, and kind. We want to walk the journey with you, and show the possibilities that can be attained when we work towards healing, together.
