About this service
Cares Counselling recognizes barriers to individual counselling and wants to meet community needs through small group sessions. These anxiety groups are documented to help normalize feelings, deliver effective tools and resources, and develop positive, supportive social relationships within the group itself.
There are many support groups for vulnerable people in our communities. What makes our program unique is the size of the groups (limited to 8 participants), the level of therapist training (lead therapist has MA and is registered with the BCACC, intern is completing MA program in preparation for licensing), and a flexible program designed to meet the specific needs of each participant within the group.
