Settlement workers facilitate the adaptation process for immigrants and refugees by providing:
information,
orientation,
assessment,
supported referrals,
education workshops
short-term adaptation counselling
information about societies in British Columbia
guidance & support on personal and family adjustment issues
connections to the broader community
