About this service

Volunteer Companions
Trained Abbotsford Hospice Society (AHS) volunteers provide one to one companioning support for bereaved parents.
Adult Grief Support Group
Parents are welcome in this ten week support group. The facilitators use the book, Understanding Your Grief by Dr. Alan Wolfelt and members are expected to prepare for weekly sessions by reading the chapters and completing reflection sheets. Please note that this group is not exclusive to parents: it is open to all adults grieving the death of a loved one.
Parent Support Group
This eight week group is offered twice a year and is open to parents who are grieving the death of a child.
Please note that we recommend that you wait three months from the death of your child before joining a grief support group.
