About this service

This bursary is designed to help in continuing education in a college, university, vocational institution or other special educational pursuits. A minimum of two bursaries will be awarded annually, depending on availability of funds.

AFKA BURSARY ELIGIBILITY

  • Applicant must be a foster, former foster, adopted, or a biological child of a licensed foster or a *kinship caregiver or a child currently placed with or formerly placed with a kinship caregiver.
  • Foster or *kinship caregiver(s) must be in good standing with the AFKA. (Current Membership)

*Kinship Caregiver for the purposes of this application refers to a kinship caregiver who is an approved placement provider.
