About this service
The Animal Safe Haven (ASH) Program has been created to provide temporary homes to animals that are part of families fleeing abusive and violent situations, victims of crime or for those who for physical or mental health reasons are unable to provide care while hospitalized.
The positive mental and physical benefits of pet companionship are well documented and pets are important social connectors for their humans. Victims of crime or those requiring physical or mental care away from their residence are supported through the temporary care the FMSPCA provides to their animal family members so that they can focus on getting well knowing their pet will be waiting for them when they are ready to return home.

Fort McMurray SPCA - Animal Safe Haven Program (ASH) is open Tues/Wed/Sun 12:30pm - 6:00pm, Thurs - Sat 12:30pm - 7:30pm.
