About this organization
The Fort McMurray Catholic Board of Education provides public education in a faith based environment to approximately 6,000 students.
Services include the delivery of the Alberta Education Program of studies from Kindergarten to Grade 12, Early childhood Services (ECS), English and Frnch as Second Languages (ESL/FSL), First Nations, Métis and Inuit (FNMI) programing, counseling services, student transportation and special educaton services for students with mild, moderate or severe disabilities. Out of school care is also provide in six schools. Students and staff are also active in many social Justice and charitable work in the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo including Santa Anonymous and homeless support projects. Several bursaries and scholarship funds are also provided by the Board of Education.
