About this service
The FVI is a stakeholders group in Whitecourt, Alberta. It began in 2004 with the mandate that it is necessary to reduce the incidence of family violence through awareness, support, referral and intervention. There are many agencies involved in the FVI including Wellspring Family Resource and Crisis Centre, Alberta Health Services Addiction and Mental Health, Northern Gateway School Division, North Central Alberta Child and Family Services, McMan Youth, Family and Community Services Association, Town of Whitecourt, RCMP, Victim Services, Boys and Girls Club, Alberta Works. Partners meet monthly to collaborate on events and discuss current trends/community issues.
