About this service
Our shelter provides a secure environment, crisis counselling, non-judgemental support and advocacy 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Our main focus is to ensure both mother and her children adjust to their new surroundings and begin the process of healing. We provide a comfortable, home-like space for families fleeing abuse. You will learn to identify safety risks and increase your knowledge and awareness of the dynamics of Family Violence. You will have: A comfortable private family bedroom for you and your children. Food, clothing, and personal care items as needed. Trained Staff to effectively support you and assist you with the process of moving forward. Access to an outdoor space that includes a safe and secure playground for children. Space to share with other families including: Living room Childrens playroom Large kitchen Laundry room Computers are available for clients to access online applications and resources that include applying for financial benefits, housing rentals, government and legal forms as well as personal emails & social media.
