Meals on Wheels "We are facing challenging times, but we don't have to do it on an empty stomach. Calgary Meals on Wheels is here to support your community in this time of need. We have begun to increase our meal production to help all Albertans south of Red Deer who require the delivery of individual or family-size prepared meals. We are experienced in serving our rural communities as part of our My Choice Menu service; a line of wholesome frozen items. Over the past several years, we have continued to serve 5 communities in Southern Alberta by working with partnering organizations to facilitate the delivery of these meals to those living outside of the Calgary city limits. The My Choice Menu meals are made locally at Calgary Meals on Wheels' production facility, and they offer a nutritious and affordable option which can be delivered safely to your community. WHO CAN RECEIVE THE MEALS? Anyone. Calgary Meals on Wheels believes everyone deserves to be well-fed. At some point, all lives will be touched by hardship. This is certainly more evident in our communities now more than ever. In those moments, Calgary Meals on Wheels exists to provide the comfort of healthy, nutritious meals. HOW DOES THIS WORK? Meal pick-up from Calgary Meals on Wheels is done by your local Family & Community Support Services (FCSS); they then disburse to your community. Meals for residents of multi-unit complexes are available. Community residents pay for their meals through their local community FCSS." Wheatland FCSS is partnering with Calgary Meals on Wheels to provide Hussar, Rockyford, Standard and Wheatland County residents with nutritious and affordable meals. The Wheatland Meals on Wheels - Frozen Program is available to everyone, regardless of your age or finances. Frozen meal orders are placed every 2 weeks. To view the order and pick up schedule, select SCHEDULE below. The week following order placement, the orders are picked up from Calgary, delivered and sorted at the Wheatland County Administration Building. DELIVERY is now available for County residents. Please ensure you make delivery arrangements when placing your order. MENU Select from a variety of meals, entrees, baked goods and soups.
