Wainwright & District FCS - Healthy Families Program

A unique program for promoting independence, parenting skills, and good nutrition for pregnant women and families with preschool children through home visitation and group activities. We provide counselling, support and education on parenting topics such as labour and delivery, child development, breastfeeding and nutrition. The Community Kitchen gives moms the opportunity to get together with other parents to cook healthy meals that they take home. Healthy Food, milk and prenatal vitamins may be provided to those who need assistance.

Healthy Families has group activities that are both fun and informative. Healthy Families participants learn more about services that are available in the community. Anyone can refer to the Healthy Families program including: self, Parents, Doctors, Public Health Nurses, Social Workers, Teachers, Prenatal Instructors, Community Agencies.

Wainwright & District FCS - Healthy Families Program is open Mon - Thurs 8:30am - 12pm, 1pm - 4:30pm, Fri 8:30am - 3:30pm.
