In addition to diet and lifestyle changes, natural therapies including botanical medicine, clinical nutrition, hydrotherapy, homeopathy, naturopathic manipulation, and traditional Chinese medicine/acupuncture, may also be used during treatments. In Canada, the naturopathic medical professions infrastructure includes accredited naturopathic medical programs, standardized North American Board Exams (NPLEX) and jurisdictional exams, national standards of practice, and, regulations in five provinces to date. First Visit On your first visit, you will be met by our friendly support staff who will help you with filling out forms, answer any questions and help with anything else you need. You will then meet with the practitioner to discuss your specific concerns and health history. Assessment & Recommendation for Care Your practitioner will discuss your specific needs, present your options, suggest a treatment plan, and discuss the benefits and any risks associated with the recommended treatment. Treatment plans are specific to each patient.
